3 meses de edad.

3 months old..

4 meses. Disfrutando el regreso a casa, después de una transfusión por anemia.

4 months old. Enjoying to returned at home, after a transfusion by anaemia.

5 meses. Con 3.500 kgrs de peso, hasta la fecha tiene peso bajo.

5 months old. With 3.500 kgrs of weight. Until now she has low weight.

11 meses. Nuestra primera vez en el mar, desde su nacimiento. La hipotonía es notoria en sus piernas.

11 months old. Our first time since her born. Hypotoni is notable in her legs.

Este síndrome viene acompañado de dos enfermedades crónicas: Hipotiroidismo y Deficiencia pancreática por Malabsorción. También viene acompañado por sordera neurosensorial.

Cuando los médicos nos dan este cuadro, por supuesto que nos angustiamos y sentimos que el mundo se nos viene encima. Como madre de una niña con Johanson-Blizzard me hubiera gustado encontrar alguien, una voz que me dijera algo positivo referente a Dafne, pero como el síndrome es tan extraño....alrededor de 30 casos registrados en la historia médica. No era posible obtener el comentario de nadie que hubiese tenido la experiencia.
Ahora puedo compartir mi experiencia y decirles que conserven la calma... cierto que las cosas son difíciles, pero también es cierto que tu hijo siente tu angustia, tu miedo, tu dolor. Y lo que tu bebé necesita en este momento es tu apoyo, tu amor, tu cariño. No está muerto, está vivo y siente. Necesita tu fuerza, necesita tu seguridad.

This syndrome comes with two chronics illness: Hypothyiroidism and pancreatic deficiency by malabsortion. Also this syndrome comes with neurosensorial deafness.

When doctors tell us all this, of course we feel so anguish and feel that this is the end of the world. As a mother of a girl with Johanson-Blizzard Syndrome I would like to find somebody, a voice who told me something positive about Daphne, but I knew that the syndrome was extremely rare.... around 30 cases in all medical history. It wasn't posible to get a comment from nobody who had the experience.
Now I can share my experience and tell you "keep calm"... it´s true that things are difficult, but also it is true that your baby feels your anguish, your fear, your pain. And your baby needs in this moment your support, your love, your affection. Your baby is not death, is alive and feels!!. He or she needs your strength, he or she needs to feel security.
